The ALMA Telescope: Heralding a new era of astrochemistry
Open meeting of the COST Action "The Chemical Cosmos: Understanding Chemistry in Astronomical Environments" Boppard, Germany from May 9 to May 12, 2010
The first meeting of Working group 1 Radical-and ion-induced reactions of the European Union COST Action The Chemical Cosmos: Understanding Chemistry in Astronomical Environments will take place
in Boppard, Germany
from May 9 to May 12, 2010.
The meeting is entitled:
The ALMA Telescope: Heralding a new era of astrochemistry
and is open to the whole astrochemical community and interested scientists from other fields. It should serve as a discussion meeting about the possibilities that the new ALMA telescope array offers for research in astrochemistry. Informal discussions about new approaches and projects are an integral part of the meeting agenda.
Since the participation costs are low, the workshop should also be a good opportunity for newcomers (also students) to obtain an in-depth introduction into the field. Details about the meeting can be found at cost.astrochemistry.eu/
Registration deadline is March 31, 2010.
