CASA Workshop and tutorial

31 March - 01 April 2010 

UK ALMA Regional Centre, JBCA, University of Manchester, Alan Turing Building

A two-day workshop providing a hands-on introduction to the CASA data reduction package, which will be used for ALMA and other radio interferometry data. This follows the meeting on Science in Galaxies with ALMA.

NB this is now full, if you register you will be placed on a waiting list.  Alternatively, other European ARC nodes also hold tutorials, see CASA Tutorial  Bologna 27-29 April 2010.

Tutors will include: Rob Beswick, Ian Heywood, Dirk Petry, Anita Richards, Tony Rushton

Agenda and material

The Agenda specifies which data and scripts you will use in tutorials.  More details will be added.  You are also welcome to bring your own data to experiment with (no guarantees it will work!). 

We assume that everyone will use their own laptop, please download and install the latest public version of CASA (3.0).  If you have problems please check the help pages at NRAO first but if necessary please contact alma@jb.man.ac.uk . Numbers for the CASA workshop will be limited to 30; anyone registering after this number has been reached will be put on a waiting list.
