Finding the UK ALMA Regional Centre and the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics (JBCA)

The UK ARC and JBCA is located on the third floor of the Alan Turing Building of the University of Manchester. The building is on Upper Brook Street between Booth Street East and Brunswick Street. On official maps of the campus it is building number 46. (Note that these maps sometimes describe the building as the location of the School of Mathematics and the Photon Science Research Institute, but not JBCA.) The building is about 20 minutes walk from Manchester Piccadilly railway station which is located at the northeasten corner of the University campus. A taxi from the station to the building will take about 5-10 minutes depending on traffic and will cost less than £5. The entrance to the building is on the southern side of the central block of the building. The lifts are right inside the entrance.

The University has a useful page of maps and general travel information http://www.manchester.ac.uk/visitors/travel/maps/
